Another Site and another view
This is an interesting site and a thing that I did know but thankfully it doesn't apply to me but, there but by the grace of God go I....
The stats on cystectomy (which always includes prostate, seminal vesicles, and lymph nodes) are sobering.
From my second opinion doctor:
1% will die in hospital. 2-3% die within 5 years. 90% lose ability to have erection. 5-10% chance of daytime incontinence, PLUS 15-20% chance of nighttime incontinence. OR 20% chance of (no continence) needing to do self-catheterizations.
