Another night of sleep loss

I don't know why my mind wants to start undertaking massive calculations and what if scenarios as soon as I get to bed? It just does these things and I end up awake 3 hours later!

I am going to try very hard to get to bed early tonight and to not do any work before hand that gets my mind buzzing. It is so disruptive to my normal day as I end up sleeping in and then missing breakfast etc.

All the items you have spoken of in the last few blogs are classic "going throughthe change" symptoms
V had them when she did it
You may have to wait until you are 60 before you get another decent nights sleep

Also classic symptoms of Dx with a potentially terminal illness!

Perhaps menopause can be seen as terminal! Based on the indisputable fact that life is a sexually transmitted terminal disease!!!

Have you tried sleeping with the radio on a semie intelligent talk station quiet enough to sleep through yet loud enough to prevent a clear patern of alternate thought. I find most radio stations so poor in entertainment terms they soon put me to sleep.

If MY insomnia is due to Menaupause my wife (who is likely to be awake!) will be surprised!

I think my wife too would be surprised to find me going through a Menopause event :-)

Last night was much better - I have to learn to not do "brain work" prior to going to bed. New business plans and spreadsheets for example just get the mind whirring :-)

I am actually out of the cancer problems but work and other issues are taxing my mind at the moment which don't help of course. I use an MP3 player and listen to classical music sometimes, I might try the radio trick if nothing else works.

Happy New Year!
