The stats on cystectomy (which always includes prostate, seminal vesicles, and lymph nodes) are sobering.
From my second opinion doctor:
1% will die in hospital.
2-3% die within 5 years.
90% lose ability to have erection.
5-10% chance of daytime incontinence, PLUS
15-20% chance of nighttime incontinence.
OR 20% chance of (no continence) needing to do self-catheterizations.
