Good News

We made £3500 on Saturday at the old people's home. That will allow us to finance the new garden furniture. They have a lovely garden area where we also hold the Easter Egg Hunt and the existing parasols are beginning to get worn out and we need decent ones as they get so much usage.

I didn't think we could make that sort of money on the day and it is easily the most we have ever made.

To think that this time last year I hadn't even heard of Bladder Cancer!

it is admirable to note that even at this critical time in your life, you care for other people. Bless you my friend, and may God give you a long life.

The Fair attracts about 500 to 1000 people I suppose and we have close to 40 stalls. It is actually a little smaller than it used to be and there were more like 60 or 70 stalls.

If you think about it if there were only 500 people they each would have to spend £7.00 which isn't a lot these days.

In total we have probably raised £11,000 as we normally sell tickets in advance and these are somewhere between £7500 and £8000 each year.

We will need this not only for the patio furniture but also a large tropical fish tank in reception and to replace funds and start saving for a new ambulance in a few years when the one we bought last year starts to wear out.
