I am really looking forward to going out tonight

Just up to my local Pub in a few minutes to meet my old school chums. I've known these guys for 40 years or more and we have a great time once a month reminiscing, taking the mickey out of each other telling jokes and just having a good evening out.

I am so looking forward to it as I really do need cheering up and a boost to my system and these guys will do that without a doubt. I remember moving down this way from London and these guys being some of the first I met. My parents to this day say what a nice group of friends I had.

So - a few beers, some laughs, crikey we all need some of that as I think we are all going to feel the squeeze this year and hopefully refreshed batteries for tomorrow. It is amazing how feeling good in itself is good medicine.

Good for you David, hope you have a good night, glad you can have a beer again, nothing like laughter to strengthen the soul,i think if i get an all clear on the 9th i will treat myself to a pinball machine. Would love a new car,a nissen skyline, but going fishing every week, would rip the tyres/exhaust off, the old frontera does a good job...and always wanted a pinball machine, the missus will be suprised...Have a Monday 10.30 arrival time in Feb, last time for turbt had a 7.30arrival time, hope i can still get out on the Tuesday like last time.Very nice Jag, allways had a soft spot for jags

Hi Andy,

It WAS a great night out. Some Harveys Sussex Bitter and a real belly laugh at the expense of some friends.

Someone up the road has a Skyline and deaf as I am I can hear that roar up the road :-) - The Frontera is a solid beast and gets all your tackle, beers, camping gear and loads more in no doubt and does the rounds too. I have to admit I cringe when Mrs. F puts stuff for the dump in my Jag :-( She has a Nissan Micra (her choice not mine) but I see her preferring to drive my car rather than hers :-) - typical she tells me about being green and then goes and roars off in my motor! :-)

the 9th February is now firmly in my diary and it looks as if you will have an after lunch session arriving at 10:30. If it is a set of biopsies you might get out on the same day or the next morning - it is a lot less than a TURBT. Whatever it is, you have my very best wishes for a quick procedure and I hope you don't have the experience I had on my 2nd time in to Hospital http://my-bladder-cancer-journey.blogspot.com/2006/10/scr-wars-episode-ii-revenge-of-nhs.html

So a Pinball machine sounds great and I think we, the league of extraordinary gentlemen, deserve to treat ourselves occasionally and being through what we have been I'm certain the missues will be OK. You go and get yourself a pinball machine with all the knobs and buttons on it - after all that we have been through it isn't much to ask. If not a pinball machine you need to get one of those big green eggs and planks and Bass like Steve K has in the states - it sounds fab doesn't it?

Roll on Tommy the album and movie and Andy P and the Pinball Machine :-)

Thanks for explaining about the biopsies David, had really no idea about what to expect.glad its not a much of a deal as a TURBT.I done really well after that first turbt, no bleeding, then 3 weeks, well thought i was bleeding to death from the inside, went to hospital, to be told, that it was normal, checked me over, and gave me some antibiotics, and hey presto, within 3 days all ok,,,,could do with out all that again, Glad you had a good night out, and yes i think one day we should pop over to Utah, and enjoy a meal with Steve, that bass sounds lovley. Thanks again David.By the way, saw a guy in the top of the range speed machine EVO,down the tip last week, unloading split black rubbish bags,,,i laughed when i thought about how the sales litrature could have read,,Fantastic accelleration, mind blowing top speed, awesome handling,,also handy for the tip.......
